Teambuilding adventure in Split

As soon as we heard that we were going to Split for team building, we were excited. Who can resist three days of enjoyment and an additional two days for mingling at the BlockSplit conference? For many of us, it was the first opportunity to get to know our colleagues better in a slightly different environment. Saturday morning, we set off for our adventure in a great mood. In the safe hands of our driver, we arrived at the Radisson Blue hotel in Žnjan, Split which offers a beautiful view of the sea and the Dalmatian islands. After settling into our rooms, we explored our hosts’ amenities, and we quickly found the spa area and outdoor swimming pool, which were true oases of relaxation and pleasure.  Fortunately, we had a warm and pleasant day, which allowed the braver ones to swim in the sea as well. With the sound of the ocean and the guitars of young colleagues, we spent the evening hanging out.

On Sunday, those with an adventurous spirit participated in rafting on the Cetina River, organized by Magic World Adventure. As such a venture requires full strength, we went after lunch. The leaders met us at the river just a few kilometers from Omiš where we changed our clothes and divided into boat teams. Six of the "craziest" signed up for the adrenaline team with skipper Mićo. In addition to easy rowing techniques, we had to master jumping into the river and off a cliff, climbing onto a boat (extremely difficult), and swimming in river rapids. What remained after was that feeling of fulfillment and adrenaline that made us all smile. Those moments in nature, in the middle of the river, where you surrender entirely to the moment and believe you can do anything, are something completely different and special. Adrenaline was pounding and without much thinking we jumped into the cave, climbed, and came out with a big smile after realizing what we just experienced. Rafting and everything that comes along with it is a great way to push personal boundaries and connect with people. As a reward for the four-hour adventure, we enjoyed Slavonian delicacies (sausage, bacon, and rakija) and good music in the camp.

Monday was the day for exploring and discovering Split’s charms. Our guide from the Split&More agency took us on a tour of the old town, during which we saw Diocletian's Palace, the Vestibule, the Temple of Jupiter, the Peristyle, the Square, the Prokurative, the monument to Gregory of Nin. Following that, we went souvenir shopping, drank coffee on the Riva, and explored Marjan. In the evening, we attended a BBQ party on the hotel terrace.

The next two days were reserved for the famous BlockSplit conference, where we had the opportunity to listen to lectures about blockchain, socialize and explore the expo. On Tuesday evening, we had a great time being a part of the Alice in Blockchains founding party. Along with the top-quality food and a great selection of drinks, the DJ kept us on our feet until the early hours. After the conference, we returned home tired, but satisfied and full of impressions. In the following days, we recounted the best experiences and shared photo albums that will always remind us of how much fun we had.
