This year’s autumn was exceptionally rich in technology events — from Osijek and Split to Zagreb, we attended six conferences that shape the regional IT ecosystem: Kulendayz, CSC Conference, WOLF, Game Changer, Cosmoverse Labs, and BsidesOsijek.

Our team never misses an opportunity for a different kind of workday — one filled with new experiences, inspiring connections, exploring new places, and the kind of gastronomy that always elevates the journey.

Each of them delivered unique insights, trends, and ideas that will shape the tech landscape of 2026, as well as our own work moving forward.

Below is an overview of the main topics and key conclusions that will shape our continued development and future projects.

KulenDayz 2025 – AI, Security, and the Future of the IT Industry

At the 17th edition of KulenDayz, the “slow down” IT conference in Osijek once again became the center of the regional IT community. It was also a clear reminder that the city continues to hold an important place in Croatia's technological landscape.
This year’s focus was on:

  • artificial intelligence,

  • cybersecurity,

  • the future of the IT profession,

  • and a wide range of tracks including AI, Cloud, Cyber Security, Development, Data, Project Management, Design, and Game.

The conference confirmed that AI is no longer a trend — but an operational technology that companies must integrate into their processes to remain competitive.

Our conclusion:
KulenDayz once again demonstrated the importance of combining technical knowledge with an understanding of career development and industry-wide change. The balance between technical tracks and broader professional context makes it one of the most comprehensive conferences in the region.

CSC Conference 2025 – Cybersecurity: Today and Beyond

The CSC Conference in Osijek once again focused on the key challenges of cybersecurity across business, technical, and educational contexts. Our most experienced team members - our System Engineers — attended the event to dive deeper into advanced security practices and emerging threat landscapes.
The program was divided into three segments:

  • business segment — organizational security, risk assessment, legal frameworks,

  • technical segment — network security, industrial securiy, cybercrime,

  • educational segment — security in education and raising awareness among youth.

CSC once again confirmed that security is not only a technological challenge, but also an organizational, legal, and educational one.

Our conclusion:
Companies increasingly need to align their security strategies with regulations and continuously invest in education — for technical staff, management, and end users alike.

WOLF 5.0 – Inspiration, Leadership, and Personal Development

Unlike strictly technological conferences, WOLF 5.0 in Zagreb offered an inspirational program focused on authentic stories, transformation, and leadership development. This time, our female team members took the lead — embracing the chance to step away from the daily routine (and our mostly male office) to recharge, learn, and get inspired in a different setting.
The conference included:

  • PEP talks,

  • panel discussions,

  • 1-on-1 sessions,

  • and topics spanning entrepreneurship, personal development, and an innovation mindset.

WOLF is a platform that reminds us of the importance of developing the human side of technology — communication, leadership, and resilience.

Our conclusion:
Technology evolves quickly, but people remain at the center of every organization. Investing in soft skills and leadership capabilities is essential for sustainable growth.

Game Changer 4.0 – AI, Digital Transformation, and Gamification

Game Changer, a conference that makes technology more humane and the technological transition easier, once again brought together thousands of participants and more than 100 speakers in Zagreb. This year, we participated as attendees, supporting our long-term partners from the Alice in Blockchain association.

The program spanned five thematic halls, each focused on:

  • AI & Digital Transformation,

  • Gaming & Gamification,

  • eCommerce,

  • Web3,

  • Startup Hall.

The highlights included content on humanoid robots, disruptive AI solutions, gamification in healthcare and education, and blockchain innovations.
Part of the program was also dedicated to the startup scene, investment trends, and the practical business application of new technologies.

Our conclusion:
Game Changer clearly shows how AI, gaming, and Web3 are interconnected — and that innovation has the greatest impact when applied in real business use cases.

Cosmoverse 2025 – A Global Web3 Gathering in Split

Cosmoverse came to Croatia this year, bringing thousands of Web3 experts, developers, investors, and institutional stakeholders to Split. The conference was especially significant for us because our CEO, Zoran Balkić, participated as a panelist, contributing his perspective on the role of decentralized finance in transforming the traditional financial system.
The official tracks included:

  • AI & Machine Learning,

  • DeFi,

  • Bitcoin and modular infrastructure,

  • interoperability and cross-chain solutions,

  • tokenization of real-world assets (RWA),

  • enterprise / institutional blockchain adoption.

Cosmoverse confirmed that Web3 is moving from the experimental phase into the infrastructure phase — with a focus on security, interoperability, and regulation.

Our conclusion:
Blockchain is no longer just a “technology of the future.” In some areas, it is already becoming critical infrastructure, especially when combined with AI and the tokenization of real-world assets.

BSidesOsijek – The Hacker Community and Security First-Hand

Unlike other conferences, BSidesOsijek is a grassroots event dedicated to the security community.
Although the full program was not publicly available at the time of our participation, the event traditionally includes:

  • hands-on technical security workshops,

  • hacking sessions,

  • case studies,

  • knowledge exchange among professionals and enthusiasts.

BSides events worldwide are known for their authenticity and openness — and Osijek is no exception.

Our conclusion:
BSidesOsijek highlights that security is strongest when the community actively participates — through open dialogue, hands-on exercises, and a level of experience sharing you cannot get from books or online courses.

Conclusion: What This Season Has Taught Us

The autumn conferences of 2025 highlighted three clear trends:

1. AI is entering every industry — and becoming a strategic advantage.

From KulenDayz to Game Changer and Cosmoverse, artificial intelligence was the central theme across almost every track.

2. Security is no longer just a topic for specialists.

CSC and BSidesOsijek emphasized that cybersecurity is the responsibility of the entire organization, not just the IT department.

3. The future belongs to those who connect technology and people.

WOLF and Game Changer showed that innovation is valuable only when people can understand, adopt, and use it.

These conferences gave us new perspectives, contacts, and knowledge — and motivated us to actively apply them in the projects and solutions we work on every day. Driven by curiosity and a constant desire to learn, we’re already looking forward to future events and conferences that will inspire us even further.
